What was cancelled, and when
On 4 September 2026 instrument F2026L01160 was registered on the Federal Register of Legislation, made by the Assistant Minister for International Education, Julian Hill, under subsection 96B(1) of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000. The instrument specifies the vocational education and training course with National Code "BSB80120", the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), for the purposes of that subsection. The instrument commences the day after registration, so the effective date is 5 September 2026.
The Assistant Minister's media release, dated 4 September 2026, states that 452 VET providers are registered to deliver the course to international students, with 41,033 active Confirmations of Enrolment in the course, including 15,772 students recorded as currently studying.
The Department of Education's provider fact sheet, last modified 4 September 2026, confirms that from 5 October 2026 providers will not be able to issue new Confirmations of Enrolment for BSB80120. That date is confirmed on the department's own fact sheet, not a media report.
What the course register held on the sync date
StudyVisaHub keeps its own copy of the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students, the official course register for providers who teach international students. Our copy was last synced 29 August 2026. As at that sync date, the register held:

These counts came from the course and campus location tables as published on data.gov.au, synced into StudyVisaHub's register on 29 August 2026, before the cancellation instrument was registered. The register has not yet recorded any providers dropping the course as a result of the cancellation.
What the register will show next
StudyVisaHub is building a change ledger for the course register. Once that ledger and the weekly full sync it depends on are running, a provider that stops offering BSB80120 will appear there as a recorded course change, dated to the sync where the change was first detected. Nothing about a future removal is reported here in advance of that data existing.
