Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Is StudyVisaHub free to use?
Yes — completely free. We do not charge registration fees, placement fees, or commissions. We are independent of any provider or migration agency.
What is the Subclass 500 student visa?
The Subclass 500 is the primary Australian student visa for most full-time international students enrolled in a CRICOS-registered course. It allows you to study in Australia and, in most cases, work up to 48 hours per fortnight during your studies.
How accurate is your visa grant rate data?
Our grant rate data is sourced directly from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) statistical releases. We publish the most recent available data and note the reporting period. We do not interpolate or estimate — if DHA has not published data for a segment, we do not show it.
Do you provide visa advice?
No. StudyVisaHub provides information and data — not immigration advice. We are not a registered migration agent and are not affiliated with DHA. For individual visa guidance, you should consult a MARN-registered migration agent.
What is an evidence level and how does it affect me?
DHA assigns an evidence level (1–3) to each combination of nationality and course sector. A higher evidence level means more documentation is required to support your visa application. Our data helps you understand which evidence level applies to your specific combination.
Which countries do you cover?
We cover all nationalities that appear in DHA grant rate data. For smaller cohorts where DHA does not publish statistics (typically fewer than 5 applications in a period), data may not be available.
How do I unsubscribe from alerts?
Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also contact us at contact@studyvisahub.com.au and we will remove you immediately.
Can I use StudyVisaHub if I am already in Australia on a different visa?
Yes. Many students use our data and course-matching tools while already in Australia on tourist, working holiday, or other visas and considering a Subclass 500 application. The data and guidance applies regardless of your current visa status.
